Explanation:

Jack London's "The Call of the Wild," tells the story of a dog Buck and how he changed from being a domesticated dog to trying to survive in the wild, cold mountains of Alaska.

Billie was the brother of Joe, two huskies that became a part of Buck's team owned by Perrault, Hal, and Mercedes. The death of Billie was revealed in Chapter V: The Toil of Trace and Trail. The narrator reveals, "There came a day when Billee, the good-natured, fell and could not rise. Hal had traded off his revolver, so he took the ax and knocked Billee on the head as he lay in the traces, then cut the carcass out of the harness and dragged it to one side."  This shows the horrific death of Billie after he couldn't get up, which led Hal to kill him.

Thus, the troubling thing about the death of Billee is that he is killed in the traces.

while it's not a terribly original entry in the "creepy doll" horror subgenre, this fright flick nonetheless offers interesting characters, a strong cast, expert pacing, and a spooky atmosphere.
