It was trudged along the winding path, then listened out for pecking noises – it felt hungry, and just fancied a woodpecker or two for its dinner. Finally, the red beast plodded out of the woodland, and stepped into the bright sunshine. It had stopped short of the village as it did not knew whether or not it would be welcome.
