What is the central idea of "Nurse and Spy in the Union Army" by S. Emma E. Edmonds? The narrator is a brand new spy, eager to prove herself to the generals. In a disguise, she travels all over the United States, gathering information. She was able to travel to Kentucky, California, Alaska, and Arizona. Her commander told her she could not return to Kentucky again, as they would definitely recognize her and try to attack her.

The narrator is a nurse and spy in the Union army who goes to Kentucky. She gets put in dangerous situations, but always gets the information she needs.

The narrator is a spy in the Union army who goes to different cities in Kentucky to gather information about the Confederate army. Escaping dangerous situations twice, she escaped a captain in Lebanon and the army in Louisville. The narrator does not want to return to either place again.

The narrator values her life over everything. Whenever she's in a dangerous situation, she runs away as soon as possible. This story reviews her life as a spy, and the scary generals of Kentucky.
