Summarize the plot of the myth "The Beginnings of the Maasai."

Life was peaceful for Neiterkob, the herder of cattle and father of
the Maasai. Until a massive volcano erupted and sent his cattle
flying into the air, where they could not survive. In order to save the
cattle, the wise god Enkai grew a giant fig tree so they could safely
climb back to earth. Enkai entrusted Neiterkob and his tribe with his
cattle. This is one of the reasons the cattle are sacred to the
Maasai, and how the Maasai maintain a close relationship with their
sky god
