Olaudah Equiano was scared of the slave ship. He passed out cold because he knew just by looking at his captors that he was never going to get home again. The captors looked different than he and the other enslaved people. He decided that they must be evil because of their appearance. The conditions aboard the ship were the worst imaginable. The smells were awful. Olaudah Equiano wouldn't eat. He was beaten by the men who enslaved him. This student example uses less engaging sentence structure. What could be improved?
