Antigone, First Ode 1. Analyze a section of the text for organization of ideas, meanings of images, and inclusion details.

2. Select either the Chorus' or the Chorus Leader's dialogue for Strophe 1, Antistrophe 1, Strophe 2, or Antistrophe 2 and write a paraphrase of the section.

Note- In both cases, just use Strophe 1:
"O ray of sunlight,
most beautiful than ever shone
you've appeared at last,
you glowing eye of golden day,
moving above the streams of Dirce,
driving into headlong flight
the white-shield warrior from Argos,
who marched here fully armed,
now forced back by your sharper power."
