Then, journal (write) about your perceptions and reactions. This assignment is your first journal. Your assignment is to interview someone from a culture that is different than your own. Be attentive during the interview and take your time. Then, write a 1 1/2 - 2 page journal about the interview thoroughly answering the following questions:

3. Examine their cultural beliefs, values, norms and social practices.

4. What traditions have been established in their culture?

5. What cultural patterns are present throughout the culture?

6. How has the interviewee's cultural identity been shaped because of their culture?

7. Identify if there are any cultural biases that separate this culture from others.

8. Consider: What impact does your own culture, race or ethnicity have on the interviewee? Or the outcome of the interview?
