Almost every agricultural society existed near a clear body of water, which provided the area with rich soil, waterholes for animals, and significant plant, vegetable, and tree growth. This amount of food in one region drove the hunter-gatherer societies to begin creating sedimentary lifestyles where they learned methods for catching/domesticating animals and planting the natural crops in the area for harvest.
