Last Friday night, your Clifford
Comets played an extraordinary game
against their longtime rival, the Waterford
Tigers. It was a blowout win for the
Comets, as the players showed masterful
skills on the field.
The crowd from Waterford High
School began to get out of hand
sometime in the second half of the game,
as they began to take out their frustration
about losing on other members of the
crowd. Students from Waterford were
heard yelling phrases like "Clifford
Cheaters!" and throwing cups of soda on
students from Clifford. It was a terrible
display of bad sportsmanship on the part
of Waterford.
Friday night's football game was a home
game, as your Waterford Tigers took on the
Clifford Comets. Unfortunately, the Tigers
lost, due to unsportsmanlike activity from the
defense players on Clifford's team. The
Clifford Comets made several overzealous
tackles, even injuring out quarterback
midway through the game.
When Waterford students attempted to
inform the referee of the egregious penalties
he was missing, students from Clifford began
throwing their drinks into the crowd, and
Waterford students were forced to leave. It
was a disappointing evening, but next week,
your Tigers plan to get the win!
