   my home life was bleak and I lost my family in a house fire. I came to New Jersey to start a new life; as each week of the 3 week boat journey across the Atlantic ensued, I shed the old layers of my life, pursuing head-on a new life and beginning. I have managed to find a small community here since I came, I arrived with a suitcase and one handful of money that allowed me to open a small grocery store in the village, I only sell the best produce. People slowly got to know me, I'm not that easy a person, but there were a lot of us that arrived within a few years of each other, and we all help each other out. Sometimes I feel lonely and miss my homeland and people, but the new life here is peaceful and a good new start.
