I think the geocentric model was popular for so long due to it’s special ability to explain observation of the motion
of the sun, moon, planets, and star scattered across the sky.
Although many favored the geocentric model , when the relic-gentle model formed it's way to
help astronomers understand their
observations Started to be more liked.
