This semester we have read three different genres:
Unit 1: Early American and Colonial Literature (up to 1776)
Units 2 and 3: American Romanticism (1820-1870)
Unit 4: Realism and Regionalism (1870-1910)
Often times, genres from different time periods overlap based on common social elements. Pick TWO assigned readings from Units 1-4 that share similarities which represent common social elements AND also explain how they are different from each other (i. e. Theme, purpose, style, figurative language, historical significance, etc.) (16 points)
Your answer should be in 1-2 paragraphs (4-5 sentences in each)
You may NOT use the same author as in question 21
