Part C Once you have selected the scene and cast the parts (if applicable), start rehearsing. Memorize your lines. Pay close attention to the stage directions in the play. You and other actors in the play can make changes to the stage directions to suit your purpose. You may even change the setting of the play or some of the lines from the scene completely. Be sure that you can justify the changes you make. You also have the option of finding props and/or costumes for your scene. If you decide to incorporate props and/or costumes into your performance, provide a list of the props and costumes that you will be using. You will not be graded on having props and costumes, though, so do not worry if you are not able to find any.

List any of the changes you made to the dialogue and stage directions. If you are using props and/or costumes, list those items as well.

Part D
After rehearsing your scene, give a final performance that lasts anywhere from two to five minutes. Invite your friends, family, and teacher to watch your performance. If your teacher cannot attend in person, video record your performance.

Upload the video file to the Graded Activities panel at the left-hand side of the screen. Be sure to submit it for grading.

If you do not have recording capabilities and the teacher cannot attend, then answer the following questions about your performance. Submit answers to the following questions:

Did you give a well-rehearsed performance? Were you familiar with your lines?
Did you say your lines with appropriate emotion? Did you speak loud and clear?
If you made some changes to the stage directions or dialogue, why did you make the changes? Did those changes make sense?
