Who was Newton???

Sir Isaac Newton (January 4, 1643 - March 31, 1727) was a superstar in physics, mathematics and astronomy even in his day. He took up the chair of Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge in England, a similar role later taken, centuries later by Stephen Hawking. Newton formulated a number of laws of motion, influential learning rules that scientists use today to explain how the universe works.
