A. Dinosaurs were some of the most terrifying creatures ever to have lived. In
fact, the word dinosaur means "terrible lizard. Some dinosaurs weighed thou-
sands of pounds. I have two books about dinosaurs at home. A few dinosaurs
stood twenty feet tall, which is more than three times the height of most hu-
mans. Although most dinosaurs were gentle plant-eaters, many had huge jaws
and sharp teeth. Dinosaurs appeared in a movie that I saw yesterday. They had
claws, bony spikes on their heads and tails, or long horns that they used to de-
fend themselves.
