1.) The primary advantage to writing fiction in the third person (using the pronouns he, she, they, etc.) is it allows the writer to act as an omniscient narrator. Information can be given to the reader about every character and situation, whether or not the individual characters know anything about it.

2.) The biggest advantage of first-person point of view is how deeply it delves into the mind of the narrator. No other point of view is as close. In first-person, the reader gets to see all of the narrator's thoughts, feelings, and knowledge.
