From the play Macbeth, select an important character who is a villain. Then, in a well-organized essay, analyze the motivation(s) behind the character's villainy and show how it enhances meaning in one of the themes. Keep in mind that characters are complex, and so you should focus on more than one aspect of your chosen character’s persona. Make sure your thesis is an umbrella thesis with a universal theme.
