This is a poem for my sister who was in vegas the time of the shooting i am reposting this cuz some one deleted it ( no shade) she is…. she was caught in a daze, she didn’t know what was happening, she was lost she hung on to the one person who would never leave her side she was scared, she was terrified, everyone around her screaming, and some bleeding she hid under tables and in a crowded kitchen with dozen’s of other people she found herself running down empty hotel hallways, fearing for her life she thought this was the end but no she kept running even though streets were crowded with people trampling over each other to make it to safety she never lost faith she kept next to her other half and refused to let go of him he kept her calm he protected her he saved her he never lost track of her he kept her in his arms willing to sacrifice his life for hers he loves her he would do anything for her the thing’s running through her mind who know’s she was crying on the phone telling her parents she loves them, curled up in a ball on the roof of a building just crying he was there to comfort her in this time of need, for better or worse right? i look up to her, even through she seemed weak in the time she was strong she was and still is strong she goes through life know scared but cautious her soul was not broken it was stretched out but not broken she might think that she is broken but i don’t she is my hero she is my idol she is my big sister

Read the excerpt from elie wiesel’s all rivers run to the sea. why were those trains allowed to roll unhindered into poland? why were the tracks leading to birkenau never bombed? i have put these questions to american presidents and generals and to high-ranking soviet officers. since moscow and washington knew what the killers were doing in the death camps, why was nothing done at least to slow down their “production”? that not a single allied military aircraft ever tried to destroy the rail lines converging on auschwitz remains an outrageous enigma to me. birkenau was “processing” ten thousand jews a day. stopping a single convoy for a single night—or even for just a few hours—would have prolonged so many lives. based on the paragraph, the author would most likely agree that it is best to avoid confrontation at all costs. people need to be proactive when they witness an injustice. countries should remain neutral to keep alliances strong. moscow and washington are to be blamed for the holocaust.
