Malthus's predictions were not entirely accurate for (a) industrialized nations. The Rev. Thomas Robert Malthus was a cleric and scholar. He was influential in the field of political economy. His most important work was the "An Essay on the Principle of Population". It put forward the theory that sooner or later the world's population will be reduced by famine and disease. This was in opposition to the popular view in eighteenth-century Europe that society was growing and thriving. 

Not sure if there was any sort of picture or something to go along with this but my guess is the book went into deep depth and was very informative.
