The correct answer is the following: option C. The following sentence shows the correct use of apostrophes: Max's and somebody's skateboards were left in front of the door. When talking about two or more people and their possessions, the apostrophe goes only after the second name, only if both people posses together the same item. When the possession of the item is not joined, the apostrophe has to be added after each name. This is why in the example, the correct sentence has an apostrophe after Max and after somebody, as it is assumed that they do not jointly posses the skateboards.
