At dusk one day
I saw a mist 
of silver spray

Two creatures glided  
through churning foam
to splash and play
before the gloam

As silent as death 
mysterious as night
slipping through
the fading light

I watched them as
they passed from sight
a host of dolphins
in the pale moonlight
