1) Some constructive ways that people communicate is to show others what you are doing and to keep on track. If you do this, then you know that what you are doing is right. The other person can keep you on track and help you not to mess things up. 
2) Yes people communicate in those ways to get across the point that maybe they don't like that person or that they do not want to be near that person. The other person could be very disruptive and not good at all. People express their opinions and thoughts all the time and that helps the other person know what is going on and what they can do to fix it.
