Remember: an example of a pronoun error would be putting them instead of they/those in a sentence such as: them are the men i saw in the cctv footage from the petrol station. correct the two pronoun-related errors in this paragraph: when it comes to an interview, no employer is impressed when his job candidate turns up looking scruffy. to look your best, men should wear a professional suit and women should wear either a skirt or trousers. however you decide to dress though, try to keep them plain and avoid distracting or bright patterns. most importantly, remember to polish your shoes–yes, the employer will notice! brainliest to whoever me! , you!

Read the excerpt from "mother tongue." lately, i’ve been giving more thought to the kind of english my mother speaks. like others, i have described it to people as “broken” or “fractured” english. but i wince when i say that. it has always bothered me that i can think of no other way to describe it other than “broken,” as if it were damaged and needed to be fixed, as if it lacked a certain wholeness and soundness. what best supports the inference that tan believes nonstandard english is no less valid than standard english? tan spends a lot of time thinking about her mother’s “fractured” english. tan has trouble thinking of descriptive words when she is writing. tan’s american education makes it difficult for her to understand her mother. tan winces when she describes her mother’s english as “broken.”

In act v of a midsummer night's dream, quince presents the prologue for “pyramus and thisbe.” when he finishes, hippolyta comments: indeed he hath played on his prologue like a child on a recorder—a sound, but not in government. which tone does the simile “played on his prologue like a child on a recorder” create? it creates a sad, wistful tone by comparing quince’s performance to a beautiful tune. it creates a surprised tone by comparing quince’s performance to an eloquent speech by a government official. it creates a relaxed tone by comparing quince’s performance to lovely recorder music. it creates a humorous tone by comparing quince’s performance to a child playing an instrument badly.
