The type of verbs that form their past tense and past participle by adding  ed, d or t to the present tense is termed as the regular verbs. Some examples of regular verbs are roll, plan, plant, fix, pat, check, join, connect, invite, slap and many more. The past tense of these verbs are rolled, planned, planted, fixed, checked, joined, connected, invited and slapped. As you can see the past tense is form by adding only 'd' and 'ed" at the end of the verb.
