The book is "Escape to God." The character is Jim and he is having a bad day with the snow plow. He accidentally drives over a snow berm and the plow gets stuck with the vehicle and he has to climb under the car to detach the plow. He gets dirty water in his eyes which really burns and hurts. He is tempted to get angry and upset but God calls to him to surrender it to God. Then two men come and laugh at Jim because he is blocking the road. Jim is wanting to retaliate but God calls to him and he surrenders and the men help him get his plow and truck out of the road. Jim decides to give his son a ride to the neighbors' house to feed their dog and in the process of plowing their driveway he comes upon four, fallen trees. He cannot back up and he's tempted to be angry. God calls for his heart and he surrenders. He asks his other son to come with the chain saw and his son is confused and cuts down the trees on Jim's driveway. His son finally arrives and they finish the trees, feed the dog, and go home. The message is a promise from God Matthew 28:20 that Jesus will always be with us to the end of the world. We don't have to give in to temptation 1 Corinthians 10:13 because there is a way of escape. We can have a happy life attached to Jesus.
