In french, when you put a adjective, do you place it before or after the noun? more specifically where would i put colors adjectives?

Sa place diffère selon les types d'adjectifs ou le sens à donner à la phrase.
La plupart des adjectifs épithètes se placent après le nom, certains se placent avant.

Il y a des adjectifs qui peuvent se placer avant ou après le nom et changent le sens de la phrase.

Adjectifs qui se placent habituellement après le nom :
Les adjectifs indiquant la couleur ou une forme géométrique.
Ex :    une robe rouge , un pull vert, des chaussures noires
Ex :   une boîte carrée

Les adjectifs plus longs que le nom:
Ex :    une histoire extraordinaire
Ex :    un jour interminable

Les adjectifs indiquant la religion.
Ex :    un temple protestant 
Ex :   un prêtre bouddhiste

Les adjectifs qui se placent habituellement avant le nom :
Certains adjectifs courants courts:  beau, bon, grand...
Ex :    un bel enfant

 gros, haut, jeune, mauvais, nouveau, petit, vieux, vilain...
