The Grand Canyon which is located at the northwest corner of Arizona, is one of the Earth's scenery that was formed through a natural geologic process of weathering and erosion.

Geologic experts say that there is a number of combined processes that attributed to the majestic view of the Grand Canyon, the most powerful of which is erosion, primarily by water and ice, and secondly by wind. 

The course of the Colorado River that curved the canyon has also contributed to the formation of the canyon, along with volcanic activities, continental drift and slight variations in the earth's orbit that dictates the variation in season and climate.
