What is the difference between a food chain and a food web?

The difference between a food web and a food chain is when I do food chains I think of it going from like a grasshopper to a bird to a tiger and a food web I think worm and bird eeats the worm but also ants eat worms nd then snakes eat birds a food web has more options then a food chain hope this helps
