For example, spying on everyone and all of the past, and somewhat current, racism, sexism, and homophobia. There are also the extreme problems with immigration and abortion, which should be a personal thing, but the government is butting in on it. Everyone has their own beliefs and the government could go against what you believe in. There is also mistrust because people in the government can make promises they don't keep. At the same time, there are things that benefit the general public, so it's a mix.

2. I would say they deserve some of it because they have done both good and bad things. Every person involved in the government is still their own human being and their views affect the government as a whole, and just because there is a presidential term or something else that isn't good, it doesn't mean the entire system is at fault.
