How are chinese families today different from traditional chinese families?

When poor, rural residents move to cities in China, they are often settled into urban villages. These villages are clustered near the inner city to allow for more efficient municipal and social services. Industrial growth is targeted at new developments along the edges of a city. Together, these two policies aim to keep the city itself from growing too physically large during high influxes of migrants.
