“overpopulation is a curse for the resources of a country”.give reasons to justify the statement

Overpopulation is indeed a curse of a country.
Resources are precious and are to be used judiciously , overpopulation will lead to the depletion of the resources that have been given to us by Mother Nature.
Overpopulation is responsible for the deterioration of the quality of human life in all parts of the world. It has been responsible for the intolerable gap in living standards between the rich and poor people. The rich are getting richer, but the more numerous poor are getting poorer.
One such example of a overpopulated country can be India. Overpopulation is one of the main reasons for India's economic backwardness. Population explosion also causes poverty, starvation, ill-health and many other problems. Whatever we achieve by means of economic development is eaten up by the ever increasing population. As the density of population in a given area increases, each person shares available supplies of land, water, fuel, which keeps decreasing. At present the world population is about 600 crore and about 8 crore people are being added to it every year.
