Response to this post in at least 100 words: the thermohaline aspect of this is known as a deep ocean current which is directed by the different density in the water. thermohaline is also controlled by the temperature and the amount of dissolved salt in the ocean. this would change life in the ocean depending on how bad the change would be, some ocean animals will probably be able to adapt but not sure how all the animals would adapt. maybe if the was water was too cold or to salty the ocean animals would swim somewhere more adaptable. the thermocline aspect of this where the surface water and the deep ocean water mixed to make warm water. when you are in water and it suddenly changed to a warmer or cooler temperature you know you have reached the thermocline. i think if this have big impact on life in the water because some animals like being right in the middle and some like it warmer water or cooler water.
