Genetically modified organisms, or gmos, have had their dna modified by the introduction of genes from other animals, plants, viruses, etc. for example, some species of tomatoes have been developed to resist freezing by adding the anitfreeze gene from the cold-water fish, the winter flounder. some people believe that gmos are environmentally damaging and a major health concern. should plants and animals that we eat be genetically modified? what are the potential consequences of this practice?
