Those areas which receives direct sunlight have hot climate such as areas at and near equator, while those areas which are nearer to the poles have cold climate. During spinning of earth, it tilted which causes seasons. There are certain planets which has no tilting so there is no season on that planet while our earth tilted about 23.5 degree which is the main cause of 4 seasons in different countries like Indiana.
