How do different erosional processes shape cliffs?

THESE ARE ONLY A FEW TYPES OF EROSION. i believe that they all play a part in shaping cliffs.

Rainfall produces four types of soil erosion: splash erosion, sheet erosion, rill erosion, and gully erosion.

Explanation:

Splash erosion is the first stage of the erosion process. It occurs when raindrops hit bare soil. The particles block the spaces between soil aggregates, so that the soil forms a crust that reduces infiltration and increases runoff.

Sheet erosion occurs as a shallow 'sheet' of water flowing over the ground surface, resulting in the removal of a uniform layer of soil from the soil surface. Sheet erosion occurs when rainfall intensity is greater than infiltration (sometimes due to crusting).

Rill erosion is removal of soil by concentrated water flow, and it occurs when the water forms small channels in the soil as it flows off site.

Gully erosion is a widespread and often dramatic form of soil erosion caused by flowing surface water. It consists of open, unstable channels that have been cut more than 30 centimetres deep into the ground. Gully erosion is a result of the interaction of land use, climate and slope.
