Explain how the topographical features and Potwar plateau affect the economic activities

Potwar plateau is a plateau present in the north eastern region of Pakistan. It is bounded by river and plains on all the sides. Rainfall being good compared to the arid and semi arid regions make the region suitable for cultivation. The chief crops seen in this region are wheat, barley, sorghum, and legumes, onions, and tobacco etc are grown in this region due to good fertility if the region. Wide range of wildlife present also add to the diversity of the region. The oil fields present provide economic income and employment.
