Project: Research and Learn: Natural Resource Conservation Project Overview
For this project, you will select a natural resource to study. Find out what threatens it. Are there any plans to protect this natural resource?

Instructions
Select a natural resource of your choice. Do some research to determine what factors threaten the resource. Then dentify what conservation plans or activities are in place, and then make at least three suggestions of what you could do to help in the conservation effort. This might be what you could do personally or within your community. If your community has some type of conservation program, you can describe it in detail in place of one of your suggestions.

Please make sure to include:

a description of your natural resource, where it is found, and what threats it faces;
a description of what conservation efforts, including government programs, are currently in place. You must find at least two. (Remember, we have gone over a number of agencies that regulate and assist in the natural resource industry; these are good sources for information on governmental conservation programs.); and
three suggestions on how you personally or within your community could participate in conservation efforts. These may be things you can do at home or in the community. If your community has a conservation program, you may describe it in place of one of the three suggestions you need to make.
Your paper should be ab at least 500 words. Please use size 12 font and double-spaced type. Make sure to cite your sources.
