Why is it important to know about a person's relgion and moral and values?

I think its important to know about a persons religion, the morals, and values, is because you learn more out from it. Not only does it help you, but there are many beliefs that many religious people believe. Example: I am a Muslim and as a Muslim, I have to Pray 5 times a day and Fast during the month of Ramadan. There are more things to Islam but I am just listing 2 things that many people might know. While Knowing these things you can get to know the religion more and more, and sometimes if you ever experience it in front of you, You can be encouraged to do the same. In case you ever want to teach someone the beliefs of someones religion, knowing the religion and the values and the morals will come in very handy.
