The weather has been nice for the past week, with no rain and a high temperature of 77℉ and a low of 65℉. A hiker was out in the shady part of the woods and nearly tripped over the body of a 36 year old, dead woman. When the medical examiner arrived on the scene, she measured the victim’s core body temperature to be 70.4oF. At the scene, eyeglasses and keys were found in the grass and shoe slide markings leading off toward a shed, with her cellphone under her body. A woman was fully clothed (tee shirt and jeans) and watery substance in her mouth, nasal, and pleura cavity, severe bruising on the anterior and posterior trunk of the body. Upon further sight examination, there was a large contusion anterior to the right otic, bruising on the right femoral, crural, and right pedal is twisted 105 degrees. Snack food in her stomach but in the upper portion of the small intestine, and the blood alcohol level of 0.12. The green bottle blowfly reaches 1st instar in 18 hours, 2nd instar in 24 hours, 3rd instar in 78 hours, pupae in 82 hours, and adult in 216 hours at 72℉. The legal blood alcohol limit is 0.8. What this a simple accident or potential foul play?
