On December 6th, 2017, President Trump declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel. This went against decades long traditions of keeping Jerusalem neutral. Also, on March 25, 2019, the United States recognized the Golan Heights as part of Israel through a presidential proclamation signed by President Trump. The United States is the first country (besides Israel) to recognize the Golan Heights as a part of Israel. Do you think it was right for the United States to declare Jerusalem the capital? And recognize Golan Heights as part of Israel? If so, why? If not, why?
