Direction of wind in the southern hemisphere of midlatitude cyclone ​

Because the converging winds spiral inward toward the central low pressure area, the winds rotate in a counterclockwise direction around the central low in the northern hemisphere (clockwise in the southern hemisphere)

the only other powers were germany russia and uk and they were too busy fighting each other wearing each other down   that the us was becoming strong and they were becoming weaker
