Would people be better off or worse off if the Soviet Union Had remained intact?

Long Well the Soviet Union engolfed over 20 countries and the fact that it was communist makes it a little bad. But however the russians there where very patriotic. Most likely the people who would be angered the most should be the khazacstanies because of all the stress of the talabam below, and Ukraine for theve been at war of Russia science their anex. Also the USA would most definitely resume a Cold War and disrupt most of their civil problems.
