The statement above is true. Subduction zones happen at plate limits at which maritime hull is crushed in light of the fact that it is dense to the point that it is constrained under another plate. Disparate limits are the place ocean bottom is made. Plates are neither made nor pulverized at change shortcomings. Area on the globe doesn't matter to plate tectonics.
