What are some of the physical and human made features that map symbols can represent?

There are various physical and human made features map symbols can represent. Maps can represent the buildings, the military zones, and the air port areas for icons on the map. They can also show restaurants, and hotels. Physical icons can be the local foliage, lakes, rivers, hills, and the size of mountains of hills in feet.

It is useful for historians to write narratives so that history can be passed on from their point of view.  think about a story being told in third person, then think about it again being told in first person, by someone who actually experienced the event.
