How do entanglement and ingestion of marine debris affect marine organisms?

Explanation:  Marine organisms are affected by the entanglement of marine debris, because they can get trapped in them, which often results in suffocation or hanging of these species. As for the ingestion of marine debris, many of these organisms could consume parts of short sharp materials that would cause internal bleeding and subsequently death. Plastic is the marine debris mostly found inside the womb of species such as whales, seals, turtles and seabirds. This material as such can block the intestines and affect the threat of survival of these organisms.
