Which are disadvantages of renewable resources?

There are many disadvantages depending on the type of renewable resource. For example, wind energy is renewable but the turbines take up too much space, and cause birds to die which causes environmental problems. Another example is that solar energy takes up a lot of space, is expensive and only works with certain weather.
