The religion
that developed during the Persian Empire was Zoroastrianism. It is one of the
world’s oldest religions that was founded by the Prophet Zoroaster in ancient
Iran 3,500 years ago. Ahura Mazda is the Supreme Being of this religion. Their
God also had the same characteristics that the messiah of Christian religion
had. Zoroastrianism is one of the world’s most important faith traditions. It
was the official religion of Persia between 600 BCE to 650 CE until Islam
superseded it in the 7th century AD.
