b. Children are mostly affected by malaria.

Malaria affects people of different ages but children between the ages of 0-5 years are most vulnerable. However, adults such as pregnant women and people living with HIV/AIDS also are at high risk as well as tourist and other adults who are not immune.  

For children between the ages of 0-5 years, living in a malaria-prone area is a risk on its own while infants become exposed at the 3 months when the protection from mothers wanes. In a 2015 - 2017 study done by the WHO, show that 61% of children between the age of 0-5 years were mostly affected by anaemia from malaria.
