Tides are caused due to the gravity of the sun and the moon together.

Tides are the ascent and fall of ocean levels brought about by the consolidated impacts of the gravitational powers applied by the Moon and the Sun, and the pivot of the Earth.  

As a rule, sea tides are not produced by the general quality of gravity, yet rather by the distinctions in gravity starting with one spot then onto the next. Despite the fact that the sun is significantly more gigantic and has more grounded in general gravity than the moon, the moon is nearer to the earth so its gravitational slope is more grounded than that of the sun.

Since, sea tides are the impact of sea water reacting to a gravitational inclination, the moon assumes a bigger job in formation of tides than does the sun.
