What are spatial divisions in the region in which you live and why do they exist?

Spatial divisions are land boundaries that are created naturally or politically such as state borders, counties, cities, city zoning ordinances.  So I am unsure what area you live in but your teacher is probably wanting an example using the area you live in.  But it is dividing land into specific areas to increase quality of life.  An area can be designated as rural for farming, city for business, an area for housing, an area for parks...etc... so use the names of these places that have been divided in your area.  Hope this helps you.
